Trying to make a new build (having trouble)
I'm trying to make a build for a dervish where the dmg taken is mostly given back too the foes or changed into healing, BUT i don't wanna have to spam a skill every 2 seconds, i don't want something that takes all my energy cos a dervish without energy = dead dervish. And i would prefer it wasn't an elite skill from a different profession.
So yea pretty impossible =/

[skill]veil of thorns[/skill] OR [skill]aura of thorns[/skill] + [skill]Armor of sanctity[/skill] + [skill]conviction[/skill] + [skill]mystic regeneration[/skill] is a basic tank build if that's what you're looking for. Swap out conviction with avatar of balthazar and you can tank pretty much anything physical in hardmode.
Not aware of any damage reflecting dervish builds that doesn't involve basically monking. If you have 15 mysticism, casting 5e enchants on yourself (like reversal of fortune or reversal of damagE) will cost you nothing as you get 5e back when they end. You're gonna be stuck standing there casting your ass off and not doing much else though.

There is no such thing as a build that returns damage or converts damage into healing without spamming involved. Sorry that's the way it goes. It's sort of an attempt at balance. All the skills that do the exact effects you want are generally short duration, short recharge spells that are meant to be spammed. The problem? Without some serious e management dervishes are not meant to spam like that. They have a limited energy pool and their primary is not effective e management by itself.

Two skills do not a build make. If you rely on those two maintained enchantments to be the core damage and/or healing skills in your build then you'll die and your enemies won't. You ALWAYS have to have spammables in there to boost the damage and/or healing output of a build like that. It's just the way the game works. I think it's an attempt at making a balance so no one runs around with five or six such skills on them and just easy modes everything.

I didnt say it did, replying to this statement and showing that you CAN create one, using Retribution at least, not Holy Wrath unfortunatly, unless you plan on not using any scythe skills, not very effective.
For farming perhaps, there are Warrior builds that center on those two skills, letting ennemies pummel you into submission and in sense, pummel themselves.

You can make a PvP character, farm a bunch of Balth Faction in Random Arenas or whatever, unlock those skills - then obtain them through tomes. And since they're not elite, you can get each one for roughly 500g.
